The automatic shut-off is terrific and I love that I can have dry or moist heat. I've used a lot of heating pads, but this one quickly became my favorite because unlike the pads that are rigid plastic until they warm up, this is just soft. It conforms better to whatever area I'm using it on for really effective pain relief. I am even considering purchasing one for my daughter for her needs as well.
